Travelling in New Zealand

With your rental car head for Oamaru where you'll find the stunning Bush Beach with it's rare colony of resident penguins and it's unique Tunnel Beach. This beautiful landscape stretches through pristine coastline punctuated by huge rock outcroppings. New Zealand Driving

A general speed limit of 50km/h is fixed in all closely populated areas. Areas with a speed limit of 70km/h may also be specified by the Ministry of Transport and limited speed zones may be established for which the maximum permitted speed may be either 100km/h or 50km/h depending on the conditions and circumstances.
